Lake Superior Launch Ramps

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan: There is a boat launch ramp located at the Charles T. Harvey City Marina.

Brimley: The Chippewa Landing ramp is at the northernmost point of the bay.

Whitefish Point: A boat launch is located at the Whitefish Point State Dock.

Little Lake Harbor: The Little Lake Harbor facility has a launch ramp.

Grand Marais: The Burt Township Marina has an unpaved boat ramp.

Munising: Bayshore Marina has a launch ramp.

Marquette: Cinder Pond Marina has a double-lane boat launch. Five miles north of town, Presque Isle Marina, adjacent to Presque Isle Park, has two launch ramps with two launch lanes each.

Big and Huron Bays: Witz Marina has a launch ramp.

Keweenaw Bay: A launch ramp is located near Village Drugs. Across the bay, Baraga has a launch ramp.

Lac La Belle: In the northwest corner of the lake, Lac La Belle Marina has a launch ramp.

Copper Harbor: Copper Harbor Marina has a launch ramp.

Eagle Harbor: A launch ramp is located at the Eagle Harbor Marina.

Houghton-Hancock: Houghton County Marina, which is actually in Hancock, has a launch ramp. The Lillypond Harbor of Refuge also has a ramp. Upon entering the Grand Traverse Bay Harbor through the channel, there is a launch ramp.

Ontonagon: The Village of Ontonagon Marina has a boat ramp.

Black River Harbor: A boat ramp is located at the Black River Harbor.

Saxon Harbor: There is a launch ramp at Saxon Harbor.

Ashland: A boat launch is located at Kreher park.

Washburn: Washburn Marina has a boat ramp.

Bayfield: There is a boat ramp at the Bayfield City Dock.

The Apostle Islands: On Manypenny Avenue, the Apostle Islands Marina has a boat ramp.

Red Cliff and Schooner Bay: There is a small boat launch at the Buffalo Bay Marina. There is another ramp nearby to Roy’s Point Marina.

Cornucopia: Bell Marina has a boat ramp.

Port Wing: There is a launch ramp at Port Wing Marina.

Superior: A launch ramp is located at Barker’s Island Marina.

Duluth: At the tip of the point, Park Point Recreation Center has a boat ramp. There is a $5 fee to use the ramp at Spirit Lake Marina.

Knife River and Two Harbors: Knife River Marina has a boat ramp. Another ramp is located near the Two Harbors Light Station.

Silver and Beaver Bays: There is a public boat ramp at Silver Bay Marina Beach.

Taconite Harbor: There are no ramps in Taconite Harbor. It is a commercial shipping harbor.

Grand Marais: A launch ramp is located at the Grand Marais Recreation Area.

Grand Portage: Grand Portage Marina has a boat ramp. Voyageurs Marina also has a ramp.

Isle Royale: There are no boat ramps on Isle Royale.

Thunder Bay: There is a launch ramp at prince Arthur’s Landing Marina. A ramp is located at McKellar Marine Centre as well.

Red Rock: Red Rock Marina has a boat ramp.

Nipigon: The Nipigon Marina has a launch for a $5 fee.

Rossport: Rossport Harbour Marina has a boat ramp.

Marathon: There is a launch ramp located in the little bay near Cummings Beach.

Wawa: Buck’s Marina, four miles south of Wawa, has a launch ramp.

Batchawana Bay: Sunset Inn has a launch ramp. The Batchawana Government Dock has a launch ramp but it is silted and covered with driftwood.

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario: There is a launch ramp at the Gros Cap Government Dock.
