By September 16, 2019No Comments

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Lake Erie Commission, in partnership with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, are sponsoring the 2019 Great Lakes Areas of Concern Conference September 11-12 in Cleveland, Ohio. The event will be held at Windows on the River overlooking the Cuyahoga River.

The annual event provides a forum to discuss Great Lakes Areas of Concern, review recent developments and discuss project funding — all to make progress toward delisting these sites.
Tickets cost $95 and include meals and materials. Activities (some included in the ticket price, some not) range from: A walking tour of the Cuyahoga River Area of Concern, where local experts will review cleanup and restoration efforts; a tour of the U.S. EPA’s largest research vessel, Lake Guardian; a tour of the Greater Cleveland Aquarium; a dinner cruise; and a poster session.
Registration for the event closes on September 6. To learn more, visit epa.gov/great-lakes-aocs.
