Hobie has released an innovative new pedal drive system for kayaks. The MirageDrive 360 features a 360-degree rotating pedal drive that will maneuver the new 2020 Mirage Pro Angler 360 12 and 14 kayaks in any direction. The quiet system was designed to ease fishing for anglers, allowing less time to position and more time to cast a line.
The Mirage Pro Angler kayaks also features new Kick-Up Fins, which automatically retract upon impact.
“The MirageDrive 360 completely changes how you engage with your boat and the environment,” says Philip Dow, Hobie’s lead design engineer. “For example, if you’re fishing along a shoreline or highly contoured underwater structure, you can follow those nuances exactly with boat placement.
