Need to brush up on your boating skills? BoatUS is partnering with Freedom Boat Club Chicago to offer two powerboat classes in June.
Visit Freedom Boat Club Chicago’s Montrose Harbor location on June 1 or the club’s Streeterville location on June 2 to partake in BoatUS’ two training classes taught aboard single-engine powerboats: Intro to Boating and Women Making Waves. Both classes are three hours long and cost $149 per person.
Intro to Boating teaches students the basics of shifting and steering, docking, open-water handling and basic navigation. The class will be offered on both June 1 and 2 at 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Women Making Waves covers the same techniques as Intro to Boating and is for women only. The class will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on both days.
