Boyne Mountain Resort will celebrate its 70th anniversary January 9-12, 2019. The ski destination opened its doors on January 9, 1949, as the Boyne Ski Club.
The lifts will spin for 70 consecutive hours to raise money for Challenge Mountain, which helps people with disabilities participate in recreational activities such as skiing.
On Friday, attendees are encouraged to wear throwback ski gear for a Vintage Party, and on Saturday food, prizes and giveaways will honor those participating in the challenge. The official anniversary party will take place Saturday night in the Clock Tower Lobby. Fireworks over the slopes and a champagne toast will close out the night.
