The Toronto International Boat Show (January 18-27, 2019) has announced the first annual Women’s Day on January 20, 2019. A full day of seminars and guest speakers will offer a friendly and supportive environment for women in boating.
Half of the boating market is made up of women; this inspired the show’s organizers to create the event.
“Every year we see more women involved in the decision-making process to get out on the water,” says Cynthia Hare, Show Manager of the Toronto International Boat Show. “They see the benefits of a boating lifestyle, spending time with family, friends, quality of life, and a reduced level of stress. As a result, women are taking a lead role in operating boats, moving from a first mate to sitting in the driver’s seat.”
Tickets to the show are $99 and are available at torontoboatshow.com.
