Buffalo’s Lake Erie Waterfront Is Getting an Upgrade

An investment of $24 million has been announced by the state of New York to revamp the land along Lake Erie in Buffalo in order to bring in new visitors and give residents exciting attractions. 

Ten million will be dedicated to completing North Aud Block and future development, including walkable streets and an underground parking lot; $10 million is alotted for Buffalo Blueway and the creation of public access points along the city’s waterways; and $4 million is being used to build a replica 1825 packet boat at Canalside. The facility will be 4,000 square feet and will be used year-round for rides, tours, dinners and lectures.
