By July 5, 2018No Comments

Navico Group — the parent company of Lowrance, Simrad and B&G — announced that C-Map and Navico have merged. The two have a “shared ambition” to fashion the “world’s biggest digital marine ecosystem,” according to the press release.

The merger will also create a “seamless experience by developing an ecosystem that combines the best hardware, software, services and applications,” says the former CEO of C-Map and now CTO of the Navico Group, Sean Fernback. The group’s CEO echoes that sentiment.

“This merger is an incredible opportunity to drive innovation in the marine industry and lead a new digital era,” says Leif Ottosson. “We see a huge potential to bring our two teams together to accelerate growth.”

The financial details of the union between the two marine electronics specialists were not released. For more information, visit navico.com.
