Five-Course Dinner to Benefit Great Lakes Culinary Institute

By April 26, 2018No Comments

Two renowned Chefs from the Great Lakes region are teaming up to bring an epicurean feast to the Riverside Inn in Leland, Michigan on May 17 from 6-9 p.m. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Great Lakes Culinary Institute located on Northwestern Michigan College’s Great Lakes Campus.

The creative minds behind the food are Riverside Inn Executive Chef Pete Siagkris and Killarney Mountain Lodge Chef Kay Bonsu. The chefs worked jointly to create the five-course dinner with wine pairings from Leelanau’s Good Harbor Winery.

The Great Lakes Culinary Institute has four culinary labs and is home to Lobdell’s, a training restaurant that seats 90 people.

The menu for the evening includes a five-mushroom bisque, charred grapes, quail supreme and a Leelanau cheese fromage blanc among other delights. Reservations are required and are available at 231-256-9971. Price per person is $65.00 for dinner and $25.00 for wine pairings.
