Yamaha Marine is beefing up its line of V MAX SHO outboard motors with the new V MAX SHO 90. This 90-hp outboard is the both the smallest and most recent in the SHO line. The company says it leads its class in torque and top speed.

“The new V MAX SHO 90 is the perfect power solution for boaters looking to replace an older two-stroke 90-horsepower outboard with the clean, quiet efficiency of a four-stroke,” says Ben Speciale, president of Yamaha Marine Group. “It’s also a great choice for inshore and multi-species boats.”
Yamaha kept anglers in mind with the V MAX SHO 90 by making the engine quieter than previous models. Pair it with propellers that use Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System for an extra-quiet experience. Anglers will also find the outboard is compatible with Yamaha’s variable trolling RPM switch (VTS) for slow, controlled trolling.
This model is compatible with a number of other features as well, such as Y-COP for increased theft protection and Yamaha’s multifunction tiller handle. The motor includes 35 amps of alternator power and a long-span mounting system for decreased vibration.
