Engine manufacturer DEUTZ AG has acquired Torqeedo, German manufacturer of electric-powered motors. As an independent subsidiary of DEUTZ AG, Torqeedo will continue to develop its products under the Torqeedo name. Torqeedo employs 130 people at its three locations in Gilching, Germany, Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Bangkok, Thailand.
