Burger Boat Company Commissioned for 48-Footers

By November 7, 2017No Comments

The Burger Boat Company is expanding its product line with the construction of two new 48-foot custom cruisers. These yachts mark a change in project size: Burger Boat Company is primarily known for constructing custom superyachts.

“Smaller yachts, like the Burger 48 Cruiser, provide a new generation of Burger owners the opportunity to experience the joy of owning a new, custom yacht,” says Jim Ruffolo, president & CEO of Burger Boat Company, in a press release. “It makes owning a Burger available to many more who have always aspired to take the helm of their own custom yacht.”

The first 48 aluminum cruiser will be constructed through a partnership with Vripack Naval Architects, a company in the Netherlands. The cruiser will utilize Vripack’s Slide hull design. The 48 Cruiser will be highly customized and run on twin 600-hp Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 engines. The boat is being designed to incorporate two ensuite staterooms, unobstructed views in the salon and galley area, and plenty of entertaining space. The boat is expected to be completed just in time for the 2018 boating season.

The second 48 Cruiser will feature interior design by Luis De Basto and is also expected to be finished for the 2018 boating season in the Great Lakes.
