Tiara Yachts sought to give back to the local community this past year by supporting an Industrial Design project-oriented studio class at the Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The course required students to work as individuals or pairs to design a luxury marine vessel based on predetermined specific parameters. The final projects were presented to various representatives at Tiara Yachts.
Mike Burns, an S2 Yachts senior product designer, led the class and says he looks forward to working on similar projects with Kendall College in the future. Two of four projects were selected as winners: “Tiara Timepiece” by Jared Seifert and Jonathan Morrow, and “Tiara Platform Yacht” by Taylor Axdorff.
