“Chefs Across the Great Lakes” Hosts May Dinner

By April 19, 2017No Comments

This year, a Canadian-based hotel and U.S.-based hotel are teaming up to provide a unique menu for this year’s Chefs Across the Great Lakes charity dinner. The dining experience, which takes place on May 16, will be held in the Rose Room at the Perry Hotel in downtown Petoskey, Michigan.

Joining the Perry Hotel in hosting this event is Northern Ontario’s Killarney Mountain Lodge. Each hotel’s chef — D.J. Flynn from Perry Hotel and Guy Bedard of Killarney Mountain Lodge — have come together to create a unique menu for the event. Attendees will be served a menu that features asparagus bisque, Great Lakes trout gravlax, cracklin’ Cornish hen and a special crème brûlée.

Chefs Across the Great Lakes aims to foster collaboration between Canada and the United States. All proceeds from the event go to Gerald Gramzay-Stafford’s Hospitality Culinary Scholarship Fund with the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation. The foundation awards a culinary arts scholarship to a Petoskey-area high school graduate each year.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and is limited to 100 guests. The cost is $65 per person, with wine pairing costing extra. Contact the Perry Hotel for reservations: 231-347-4000.
