Mercury Marine has expanded its joystick technology to tow sport boats with the launch of its Joystick Piloting for Inboards.
The joystick technology allows a single engine to work with bow and sternthrusters to provide ultimate vessel control and superior driving experience. The system is designed for use with the tow sports variants of Mercury’s new and award-winning range of purpose-built marine inboard and sterndrive engines.
“The migration of our joystick technology, specifically Joystick Piloting for Inboards, is intended to disrupt a segment of the market that has never seen this technology before,” says David Foulkes, Mercury Marine vice president of product development, engineering and racing, and Brunswick Corporation chief technology officer.
