The future of boating has arrived with Raymarine’s latest version of its Wi-Fish mobile app, which can be used with Dragonfly-PRO and Wi-Fish CHIRP Sonar systems. With the latest version of Wi-Fish, boaters can simply pan a smartphone or tablet across the horizon to see a dynamic overlay of saved waypoints on the water. The app also features a mobile-friendly mapping view, which allows boaters to see a bird’s-eye view of their location with saved waypoints plotted. To use Wi-Fish’s Augmented Reality mode, boaters must have a GPS-enabled smartphone or tablet. The Wi-Fish app is free and available on the iTunes App Store. Android versions of the app are coming soon.
