One lucky boater won’t have to worry about the costs of docking their boat this year: Dockwa and BoatU.S. will announce the winner of their “Dock Free in 2017” contest on February 3. The contest will provide one lucky boater with $2,500 in free dockage at Dockwa-BoatU.S. partner marinas. Entrants had to be a BoatU.S. member and registered with the Dockwa app. The contest ran from mid-December 2016 through January. The free-dockage winner will be able to use their $2,500 at qualified marinas between May 1 and October 31. Dockwa and BoatU.S. first partnered in 2015 to simplify the transient slip booking process for BoatU.S. members and marinas.
