Marquis Teams Up With Lexus, Toyota for Concept Boat

By January 24, 2017No Comments

Through a marine and automotive company partnership, Lexus hopes to have developed the next new luxury concept boat. The Lexus Sport Yacht is a 42-foot bespoke open sport yacht that debuted January 12 at a Lexus-hosted media event in Miami, Florida.

Lexus teamed up with Toyota and Marquis Yachts — which manufactures Marquis and Carver Yachts — to create the Lexus Sport Yacht. Developing the boat was an international effort: Diesel Center Frabetti Design of Italy, Toyota Marine engineers from Japan and Marquis boat builders in Pulaski, Wisconsin collaborated to create the unique craft.

“We are honored and extremely proud that Toyota Marine and Lexus selected Marquis Yachts and our hundreds of boatbuilders in Pulaski to build this concept boat,” says Rob Parmentier, president and CEO of Marquis Yachts “The selection of our organization is a recognition of the ability of our employees to build high-quality boats to the impressive standards of a premier automaker like Lexus — a company that has come to symbolize precision execution and quality in the minds of luxury consumers.”
