Boaters who have ever dreamed of sipping on an authentic Cuban espresso from a small Havana café now have the opportunity to take a chartered, seven-day trip to the antiquated island. The Moorings, a global yacht charter company, will offer limited crewed yacht charters to Cuba beginning March 2017.
Each crewed trip can accommodate up to 10 people and are all-inclusive, meaning a full staff, captain, gourmet chef, personal driver and local onshore tour guide are provided. Guests will sail on a Moorings 5800 catamaran, a 58-foot yacht with five ensuite guest cabins.
The Moorings said these trips are designed to be educational by providing guests with an authentic Cuban cultural experience. The trips are based out of Marina Hemingway in Havana and Marina Gaviota in Varadero, and daily tours may include stops at the Hemingway House, Tobacco Farm Benito, the Callejon de las Tradiciones, the Hotel Nacional and Revolution Square.
Interested parties should book sooner rather than later, as this trip is only available March, April and May 2017.
