Jeanneau Appeals to North American Boat Market

By November 11, 2016No Comments

Jeanneau joined the many boat manufacturers looking to make a splash at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this year by introducing three new powerboats and doing a bit of rebranding.

In an attempt to appeal to U.S. boaters, Jeanneau has renamed two lines of outboard powerboats for the North American market. Those familiar with the “Merry Fisher” should now look for “New Concept” or NC. The “Cap Camarat” is now “Leader.” Although the names are new, both lines were originally introduced two years ago.

What is new for 2017 are three powerboats, including the Leader 10.5, a 33-foot outboard sundeck boat. The Leader 10.5 features a large cabin, open cockpit, and can reach a top speed of 45 mph. Jeanneau also introduced the NC 895, a 28-foot “fun family pocket cruiser.” The NC 895 features more natural lighting and enhanced comfort, as seen through its convertible sunpad options. Finally, boaters can now check out the NC 795 Sport, which Jeanneau is calling “SUV of the seas.” The 25-foot NC 795 Sport caters towards family cruising and weekend fishermen.
