Beneteau’s new flagship Oceanis Yacht 62 won’t be the boatbuilder’s only new model for 2017. At the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis in October, Beneteau will feature two additional new sailboat models: The Oceanis 35.1 and the Oceanis 38.1.
The 35.1 and 38.1 build on Beneteau’s previous Oceanis 35 and 38 models. Improvements include redesigned interior and exteriors, including a new L-shaped galley on the port side of the companionway, a more practical chart table, and double doors for the owner’s cabin. The two new sailboat models maintain their predecessors’ layout versatility, with ten customizable layout options between the two. Boaters can also choose between a standard or carbon mast — with or without a furling drum. The 35.1 and 38.1 utilize a chined hull by Finot-Conq Architects and twin rudders.
