Viking Launches Two New Models for 2017

By August 16, 2016No Comments

Viking is unveiling not one, but two new models for 2017 at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. The Viking 48 Open and the 48 Sport Tower are both built on the same hull as the company’s popular 48 Convertible model, and therefore share many of the same characteristics.

The difference between the 48 Open and 48 Sport Tower is on top: The 48 Open utilizes a one-piece fiberglass wraparound windshield, while the 48 Sport Tower has a three-sided fiberglass deckhouse. Otherwise the layouts of the two boats are largely the same. Both feature Palm Beach Towers custom tuna towers, and a 124-square-foot cockpit outfitted with Atlantic Marine Electronics.

Below deck is an L-shaped lounge, dinette and HD television for nights inside. The galley includes a cooktop, microwave/convection oven and maple-lined cabinets. The forward stateroom fits a queen bed. There is also a starboard stateroom.
