Cruise for a cause with Yacht Blast for Kids, which marks its eighth year raising money for the Wisconsin Make-A-Wish Foundation — an organization that grants “wishes” to children with life-threatening illnesses. The Yacht Blast for Kids fundraiser will take place this year on August 27. The day is split into two parts: During the first part of the day, Wish Kids and their families climb aboard the vessels of local boat owners for a cruise on Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee River. An After Blast party awaits them at the Milwaukee Yacht Club, which runs from 4 – 11 p.m. and is open to the public with a ticket purchase. For more information, visit Yachtblastforkids.org.
