Evinrude recently announced an expansion of its E-TEC G2 line-up with some new mid-range engines, making Evinrude’s next generation of G2 engines available to a wider range of boats and boaters. The new engine models range from 150 to 200 hp, and include the G2 150, 150 High Output (H.O.), 175 and 200.
“By expanding this award-winning product line to lower horsepower models, even more consumers can benefit from the industry-leading performance of Evinrude E-TEC G2,” says Alain Villemure, vice president and general manager of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division. “From bass to pontoon, center console to aluminum fishing, freshwater to saltwater, the revolution is here.”
Evinrude’s G2 line is not only efficient but green: The company says its models deliver up to 30 percent more torque, up to 15 percent better fuel efficiency and up to 75 percent fewer total regulated emissions compared to leading four-stroke outboard engines. The engines come in Mossy Oak and Ice Blue.
