Help Protect Our Water

By March 30, 2016No Comments

Join the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant and Illinois Department of Natural Resources in the fight against Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS).
These non-native species, including zebra mussels and silver carp, can harm the Great Lakes and can devastate lakes, rivers and streams. And we may be unknowingly aiding in the spread of these destructive hitchhikers.

The “Be a Hero — Transport Zero” campaign reminds all boaters to remove, drain and dry your boat before leaving a water access. Follow AIS laws and regulations and do your part in becoming knowledgeable about AIS. Be sure to dispose of all unwanted bait and fish parts in the trash.

Spread this information — not AIS!
