The standard wristwatch just got a whole lot smarter. Garmin recently unveiled its next-generation marine GPS smartwatch: the quatix 3. This watch builds upon all the features from the Garmin fenix line (multisport activities, smart notifications and more), but adds important cruising, fishing and sailing capabilities, along with a number of marine-specific features and watch faces preloaded onto the device.
The wearable instrument wirelessly streams NMEA 2000 boat data from compatible onboard Garmin marine electronics, providing users with access to important sensor information like speed, depth, temperature and wind data. The quatix will retail in Q1 for $599.99 at garmin.com.
