If you’re heading to a Great Lakes beach this summer, be sure to download the myBeachCast app, now available for both iPhone and Android smartphones.
A project of the Great Lakes Commission, the app provides the latest swim advisories (updated hourly), weather conditions and hazard alerts for more than 2,000 beaches in the Great Lakes region. New features of the app include immediate notifications on your smartphone when there’s an advisory issued for one of your “favorite” beaches.
The app was developed to provide convenient, public access to swim advisories and related environmental conditions for public beaches in the Great Lakes region. Download the app at beachcast.glin.net.
