Sirius Signal has just announced a collaboration with Weems & Plath to manufacture and market their innovative SOS Distress Light, an environmentally-friendly and safe alternative to traditional pyrotechnical flares.
“We are partnering with Weems & Plath because of their passion for safe boating and their dominance in the marine accessories market and worldwide manufacturing experience,” says Anthony Covelli, co-founder of Sirius Signal, in a press release.
The SOS Distress Light is the only electronic flare to meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements for nighttime distress devices. The light is also environmentally friendly, as it never expires and has to be thrown away.
The cost of a SOS Distress Light starts at $99.95.
