Toronto International Boat Show Set to Impress in 2016

By November 10, 2015No Comments

If you’re already tired of the cold and dreaming of lounging on your boat, fret not: the 2016 Toronto International Boat Show, the largest indoor boat show in North America, is coming in just a few short months to break up your winter blues. The exhibition, which runs from January 8 – 17, 2016 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place, is the perfect place to prepare for summer, check out new products, mingle with fellow boaters and see a water-skiing legend.

There’s no better place to prepare for the next boating season (especially if the holiday season is a bit lackluster in the gift department) than at the Toronto Boat Show, which will feature over 1,000 browse-worthy boats, from cruisers and pontoons to sailboats and canoes. Last year’s show included boating big-wigs, such as Sea Ray, Catalina, Jeanneau, Monterey, Yamaha and more.

For those looking for more educational gains (and a fuller wallet), there will also be over 200 free seminars for both new and more experienced boaters. Other events include The Boathouse — Ask the Experts, SailFest Get Into Sailing, a Cooking Stage, Hands-On Skills Training and a New Boater Welcome Center.

However, perhaps one of the boat show’s biggest draws will be Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel. If Twiggy sounds familiar, it maybe be because she had cameos in films like “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” and “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”, as well as Brad Paisley’s “River Bank” music video. She’s also been skiing for the past 33 years. Twiggy will take to the water daily throughout the show.
