Michigan Winery Supports State DNR

By October 5, 2015No Comments

Next time you uncork that vino from Northern Michigan’s oldest winery, Chateau Grand Traverse (CGT), you will also be supporting the Mitten’s state parks, trails and waterways.

CGT’s new series of wine, “CGT Wines of the Great Outdoors,” includes three custom-labeled wines appropriately named Woods, Water and Picnic. The wines are available in retail stores throughout Michigan, and about 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the Michigan DNR.

CGT is leaving it open to the public to determine how the funds should be spent. The options are: Creating wayfinding signage for trails; improving accessibility; and tree replacement from Belle Isle to the Upper Peninsula. For more information, visit CGTWINES.COM/MIOUTDOORS.
