Last week, former Door County Maritime Museum executive director Bob Desh delved into the topic of why the U.S. Coast Guard would give away a lighthouse or loan a classic Fresnel lens, as part of the museum’s Maritime Speaker Series.
The series continues March 5 when personnel from Palmer Johnson Inc. will be on hand for a presentation about the city’s internationally renowned yacht builder. On Thursday, April 2, current DCMM executive director Rick O’Farrell will recount a naval career that encompassed both aircraft carriers and submarines.
