Traverse City Creates International Tourism Videos

Traverse City Tourism is broadening its reach. This year, German, British, Canadian and Chinese travelers will learn about Traverse City’s vibrant culinary scene, outdoor recreation and the wonders of Sleeping Bear Dunes, thanks to a series of promotional videos just released by the tourism organization.

Traverse City’s official destination marketing organization created four in-language videos for German, British, Canadian and Chinese viewers this past summer. The videos are part of an initiative by Brand USA, a public-private effort to encourage international travel to the United States. The videos will be featured on Brand USA’s official website, www.discoveramerica.com.

“International travel is booming and destinations that seize the opportunity will benefit,” says Traverse City Tourism’s president Brad Van Dommelen. “Our interest is to make sure that Traverse City is part of the discussion as a destination for international travelers.”
