The second annual “Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns” is returning to downtown Saugatuck, Michigan, December 6. Sponsored by the Saugatuck-Douglas Convention & Visitors Bureau, the event will take place following the “Whootville” Christmas Parade.
Sixteen of the area’s most popular inns, hotels and cottage rentals will participate in the holiday open house to welcome you into their festively decorated lodging facilities and share their most treasured Christmas cookie recipes. Tickets for the self guided tour cost $12 per person and locator maps will be provided. Visitors will receive one specialty cookie and the recipe for that cookie at each establishment; 10 percent of the profits will be donated to help purchase a permanent Christmas tree in downtown Saugatuck.
Participating lodging establishments include: AmericInn Lodge and Suites; Bayside Inn; Beechwood Manor Inn; The Belvedere Inn & Restaurant; The Blue Star Motel; The Amble Inn; The Ivy Inn; Lakeshore Lodging; Rosemont Inn Resort; Saugatuck’s Victorian Inn; Serendipity Bed & Breakfast; Seymour House; Sherwood Forest Bed & Breakfast; Shoreline Vacation Rentals; The Starlite Resort; and Castle in the Country. Most of the participating lodging establishments are located within 5 miles of Downtown Saugatuck, and many are offering special weekend Cookie Tour lodging packages.
