For those boaters who only need a touch-up on their boating skills, or those who need a complete set of basics, the Great Lakes Cruising Club School (GLCCS) is now offering more than 40 new educational webinars starting in November.
The webinars are taught by industry specialists and GLCC-accredited sail- and powerboating colleagues. The affordable classes cover everything from weather and maintenance; to provisioning and navigation; to safe boating and anchoring techniques; and regional cruising guides to locking skills.
Classes easily can be accessed from a home computer or tablet. The webinars will feature live, on-screen presentations with visual aids so that participants can interact with the instructor and other webinar attendees in a virtual classroom. Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes and cost $20 to register. There’s a discounted price of $15 for current GLCC members, as well as members of the United States Power Squadrons and Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons.
