Rinker Makes Comeback at Maple City Grand Prix

By August 5, 2014No Comments

Before you can win a race, first you must finish — and what a fantastic finish for Tampa, Florida’s Terry Rinker the 2nd Annual Maple City Grand Prix in LaPorte, Indiana, which took place May 30-June 1. Rinker’s Aero Slot Lee hull lost a propeller blade on lap 5, and he dropped to second place during the 35-lap final heat race on Indiana’s Stone Lake. On the final lap, Rinker made a pass on race leader Tim Seebold, in his NGK sparkplug-sponsored Seebold hull, on the inside of the “dogleg” right-hand turn #5 to take the lead and score the win at Maple City. It doesn’t get more dramatic than that! — Paul Kemiel
