Fort Lauderdale Show Celebrates 55th Anniversary

By July 31, 2014No Comments

The world’s largest in-water boat show, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, is scheduled for October 30-November 3 and celebrates over a half-century of providing attendees with the largest display of boats and marina gear in the U.S.

This year’s show will include enhancements to the iconic Pier 66 Marina, a full-service, pop-up restaurant and the IGFA Sportfishing Lounge. As always, an impressive display of brokerage yachts will be on display. This year, the event will feature nearly $4 billion worth of boats and marine products spread over the show’s seven different locations.

The new centrally located restaurant, anchored at the Hall of Fame Marina and operated by Hugh’s Culinary, doubles as a quality dining option for guests. It’s also a place for industry professionals to meet and greet.

“Year after year, our goal for the show is to enhance the overall experience for visitors and offer industry professionals the best platform to conduct business,” says Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, CEO of Show Management, the company that manages and produces the show. “This year we have more exhibit space than ever before, further-improved navigational aids and additional dining options, all designed to ensure that FLIBS remains the center of the yachting world.”

Other exhibits include an exotic auto display, private jet and personal submarines. The show also will offer floating cocktail lounges, live music and fishing and boating seminars.

All attractions and show locations can be mapped through MyBoatShow, the show’s free smartphone app. For more information, visit ShowManagement.com.
