The western coast of Michigan is chock-full of specialty ships to check out this summer. Climb aboard the Friends Good Will, a replica of the merchant square topsail sloop from the War of 1812 at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven. Or visit Traverse City, home to the tall ship Manitou, which you can tour as you sip wine on one of its specialty cruises.
A few other West Michigan ships worth checking out this summer are the Port City Princess and Holland Princess, both of which travel to Lake Michigan.
