This is my 18th Mayflower, Mayflower XVIII, a 2007 Sea Ray Sundancer. My first Mayflower was really the very first Sea Ray Sundancer, the 1975 240 Sundancer prototype. I worked at Sea Ray in Phoenix at the time, and the boat had made the rounds of the dealer shows.
Being young and single at the time, I was encouraged to name it Mayflower I, in hopeful anticipation and honor of the girls that came across (on the Mayflower). As years went by, the name stuck. And today, we’re up to XVIII!
