Foodies be forewarned: Don’t forget to mark your calendars in celebration of the inaugural Taste of Traverse City Festival, taking place September 13-15 in Traverse City, Michigan.

The three-day festival will include tastes and sips of the best dishes and libations from local Traverse City-area restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries and other food producers. Visitors can attend workshops, demonstrations, and enjoy appearances by local chefs and culinary celebrities, including Darren McGrady (pictured inset), who spent 15 years as Great Britain’s official Royal Chef cooking for the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales, and Princes William and Harry. He’s also cooked for five U.S. Presidents.

Other highlights include a “Downtown Grub Crawl,” a day-long showcase event on the city’s waterfront, Sunday Brunch competition, and a Foodie Film Festival showing food-themed movies.

Tickets to all events are available a la carte or as part of a weekend all-access festival pass. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit tasteoftraversecity.com.
