Appeal to your senses.

by Capt. Tom Serio

If the ability to sell a boat was based solely on curb appeal, Glastron could sell the GT 205 all day long.

This bowrider will reel you in thanks to the sweeping shear, the raked-back roadster-styled windshield with side wings, and the optional extended swim platform.

Glastron fills the GT 205 with a ton of standard features, including: Fiberglass stringers for hull rigidity, fully padded bow seats, cockpit side storage, an aft sundeck, a chaise lounger, a built-in cooler, bolstered helm buckets, a full-width transom bench seat, a ski locker, a stereo with four speakers, a custom matched single-axle trailer with disc brakes and more. All these features get you out on the water skiing, cruising or enjoying family time, with room for up to nine passengers.

Add in options such as docking and underwater lights, a hinged wakeboard tower with board racks, cockpit matting, a bow filler cushion for the sunpad, canvas covers or a beefier trailer to maximize enjoyment on the water.

Glastron points out that with numerous storage compartments located fore and aft, the GT 205 easily stows gear and essentials, from life jackets to skis.

At the helm, Glastron incorporates fog resistant custom gauges, pull-knob switches and tilt steering. Instruments include a GPS speedometer, tach, fuel, volt and trim indicators and bilge switch. Customize the GT 205 to your taste with the varied interior and exterior color choices and flooring.

With Glastron’s SSV (Super Stable Vee) hull, the GT 205 offers performance and comfort in one ride. The SSV is a hull that’s quick to plane, tracks true in tight turns and minimizes bow rise, keeping the captain in control. Wide reverse chines add lift and stability as they’re carried far forward, reducing rocking at rest.

Sticking with the base engine package of the MerCruiser 4.5L 200-hp matched to a performance driven sterndrive, the GT 205 has some get up and go, with a top-speed range of 45-48 mph. Other motor choices from MerCruiser, Evinrude, Volvo and Yamaha V-6 and V-8 powerplants will yield speeds in the high 40s to mid-50 mph range.

The stylish design and handling of the Glastron GT 205 will appeal to your senses.
