Backed by customer input and the resources of Brunswick — America’s largest boat builder — Harris is redefining innovation in the pontoon market with the “V” series center console design, combining a sleek fiberglass exterior with a stable three-tube pontoon platform.

Wraparound seating in both the aft and bow, with integrated folding armrests, is the touch of an interior designer. Clever storage below the seating keeps walkways clutter free. Power-adjustable helm seat backrests face forward or aft. At the helm, a sweeping command center with 12- and 9-inch Raymarine screens — and all of the vessels monitoring and accessory switches — are an impressive array of navigational information.  

Pontoons are synonymous with entertaining, and the V270 incorporates nearly every entertainment element and creature comfort found on a luxury yacht: From the built-in entertainment galley with a faucet, sink and optional stainless steel refrigerator drawer with a freezer; to a patent-pending marine head with a full pump-out toilet, sink, hot water shower and 9-gallon waste tank all cleverly recessed into the center tube.

Significant thought went into three well-designed boarding areas on the V270. Portside you’ll find the largest entry gate in the industry — a set of double gates centered near the helm. From the water, the same entry area houses retractable dual ladders that integrate into the port deck and a stainless steel ladder stowed below the starboard gate. An intriguing rear swim seat and entry point is clearly designed to accommodate those whose aged joints are, shall we say, out of warranty.  

Rounding out the revolutionary profile are four color choices of fencing, and a sunroof that comes in either a hardtop or sports arch — this feature may be more popular for those who want to tow inflatables, skis and wakeboards. Harris has carefully balanced this model for passenger comfort and performance watersports.

A 60-gallon fuel cell, 27-inch performance tubes with rough water nose cones and a standard 8-foot, 6-inch beam round out the specs. New for 2016, the Harris V270 also includes lighting options that incentivize you to be the neighborhood host boat for this weekend’s Happy Hour sunset cruise.
