100 Antique Sleds Anticipated at Snowmobile the Mac on December 14

Come December 14 at 11 a.m., more than 100 antique sleds will cross the Mackinac Bridge for the Antique Snowmobile the Mac event. The West Michigan Tourist Association suggests viewing the sleds at the Bridge View Park and the Welcome Center in St. Ignace, Michigan.

This is the fourth year the event will take place, growing from just 30 sleds. Just like the first year, this year’s participating sleds are all more than 25 years old and are equipped with wheel kits, in order to keep the treads off the pavement.

“It’s been so fun to watch this event grow over the years. All of the participants are so enthusiastic about their machines and are genuinely excited to be a part of such a unique event,” says St. Ignace Visitors Bureau’s Events Director Quincy Ranville.
