Attendees at several upcoming boat shows will have the opportunity to learn the basics, tricks and safety tips from barefoot waterskiing champion and coach Zenon Bilas. He will present “For the Love of Wake Sports” to audiences at the six National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) shows in Chicago (January 8-12), Atlanta (January 16-19), Baltimore (January 23-26), St. Louis (January 30- February 2), Boston (February 8-16) and Atlantic City (February 26- March 1) as part of the new, interactive Discover Boating Experience.
“There’s a real need for education in wake sports,” Bilas says. “I’m going to jump-start the audiences for the upcoming season and set them on the right track to having fun while being safe.”
After a break from the sport, Bilas reached the podium at the 2019 USA Barefoot Water Ski National Championships at age 57, and won the gold medal the previous year.
