There’s still time to head to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, near the base of Presque Isle State Park, to learn about the history of the boatbuilders that have called the area home since 1797 — including Paach Boat Builders, Lund Boats and American Boiler Works.
The center’s Erie Shipbuilding History Exhibit will allow visitors to see maps, pictures, a ship’s wheel, posters, old artifacts found underwater in Presque Isle Bay and more, according to GoErie.com. The exhibit will run until March 31, 2020.
