Registration will open June 15 for the Understanding Algal Blooms: State of the Science conference, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stranahan Theater Great Hall in Toledo on September 2, 2020. This will be the fifth year of the conference and guests are expected to come from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Information about improving water quality, public health, and science and technology related to algal blooms in the Great Lakes will be presented. Speakers from the University of Waterloo, the Agricultural Research Service, the OSU Extension, the University of Toledo and more will be on hand.
Tickets are $30 before July 31 and $40 from August 1 to the registration deadline on August 26. Student tickets are $10. To learn more about the conference, visit ohioseagrant.osu.edu.
