The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-6 has teamed up with the Antique Boat Museum (ABM) for virtual “About Boating Safety” classes.

The two-week online courses meet via Google Meet Monday through Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and cost $35 per person. Students will need a computer or tablet that has access to the internet, a camera/webcam and a microphone. The course textbook is included in the class fee and can be shipped to you or can be picked up at the Antique Boating Museum in Clayton, New York.

Four sessions are scheduled for the summer. Session #1 runs June 29 to July 2 and July 6-9. Session #2 runs July 27-30 and August 3-6. Session #3 runs August 24-27 and August 31 to September 3. The final session goes from September 21-24 and September 28 to October 1. Students will receive their safe boating certificate upon completion.

While this is a USCG Auxiliary class, registration through the Antique Boat Museum’s website is required to be added to the roster.
