Sirena Debuts Hybrid 48

By August 5, 2024No Comments

Sirena Yachts will debut its new Hybrid Sirena 48 at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, pairing a sleek coupe styling with a high performance serial hybrid powertrain for silent power on demand with no exhaust emissions.

The popular 48 will retain its core DNA with its spacious three cabin layout, but will sport a new coupe-style coach roof in place of the open-air flybridge, delivering a more sporty exterior, reduced weight and increased performance. Windows in the roof flood the saloon with natural light, and solar panels help prolong the operating range of the yacht while on electric power.

Powered by twin 213kW electric motors, the yacht reaches a top speed of 14 knots and can cover up to 30 nautical miles in silent electric mode before switching to variable speed generators for longer range and increased speed. The generators also allow you to recharge the batteries while underway, so you can arrive to the marina fully charged, without the need to charge while you’re sleeping at night.

True to Sirena’s concept, the new Hybrid 48 offers a range of layouts, styling choices and equipment levels, allowing owners to customize to their wants and needs. The new hybrid option delivers quieter, more comfortable cruising while reducing fuel consumption up to 35% and cutting maintenance costs by 10-15%, for a lower impact on the environment.
