The Idema Explorers Camp at Ottawa Sands Park in Michigan is now open for reservations. Located five minutes from Lake Michigan in the 345-acre Ottawa Sands Park that reopened last year with new improvements, the camp opened for reservations starting May 23, 2025, and campers can reserve their stay on a rolling 12-month basis, reports MLive.
The camp offers a unique overnight experience with various accommodations that can fit different sized groups of up to six people. The location offers three treehouses, five yurts and ten tent pad sites that are outfitted for every season.
The new campsite was made possible through a $3.48 million gift from the Bill and Bea Idema Foundation.
