The New York State Canal Corporation announced a series of four Bicentennial Flotillas across the Erie Canal starting Wednesday, September 24 through October 15. The flotilla will start from Buffalo, New York, and continue on to Waterford, led by the new replica canal boat Seneca Chief. Boaters can register to join one of the flotillas in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Waterford.

“BoatUS is excited to celebrate 200 years of navigation for this working waterway that has become a premier recreational boating destination,” says BoatUS Vice President of Public Affairs Scott Croft. “We’re urging our 38,000 New York members and all Empire State boaters to join one of these historic flotillas.”

TowBoatUS Buffalo and TowBoatUS Rochester/Oneida Lake, the 24/7 towing service for recreational boaters on the waterway, will be joining the flotillas.

Interested boaters can register here, space may be limited. For additional information and route itinerary, visit eriecanalway.org/bicentennial.
