Living up to the company’s spirit of travel is the R-27 Luxury Edition (LE) — a day cruiser with the soul of an extended-stay traveler. “

Ranger Tugs R-27 LE has been our best-selling model since its introduction in 2018,” says Brent Reed of Reed Yacht Sales. “She is available with a single Yamaha F350 or twin Yamaha F150’s, both with digital electric steering and digital electronic controls.”

To accomplish this, the Ranger Tugs design and engineering teams loaded the R-27 LE with the kind of equipment, innovative gear and amenities found on larger vessels.

Easy boarding is via a transom entry door, where the cockpit offers seating for five, an electric grill, a livewell and a glass bulkhead door for access to the salon. Once inside, a warm and inviting space awaits. The helm is forward and to starboard, featuring a handsome console with plenty of room for a large touchscreen and all other equipment within easy reach for safe control and navigation. The helm and salon are surrounded by large windows all around, while overhead, a pair of hatches allow lots of ambient light to enter the space. The fully found galley is to port, and opposite is a dining space with a hi-low table.

“The Ranger Tugs R-27 offers great versatility for those who boat locally with the option to trailer her to new destinations,” Reed says. “She can sleep four, and the microwave, refrigerator, electric grill, air conditioning and reverse cycle heat are powered by an inverter and lithium batteries.”

Options include an aluminum triple axle trailer, an aft cockpit sun shade, an exclusive dinghy lift with a 260 RIB inflatable and a dinghy motor bracket. This purpose-built boat is quite capable of day trips, adventurous cruising away from home, as well as island hopping and even Looping.
